Product Data Specialist

Job Summary:

Bison Commerce is looking for a self-driven Product Data Specialist to independently manage an assigned supplier portfolio — ensuring product data quality and maximizing the number of active listings across all sales channels. The ideal candidate has 1+ years of hands-on experience with e-commerce product data or marketplace platforms, is comfortable using AI tools to process and review content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of an assigned supplier portfolio — product data quality, supplier communication, and new product onboarding.
• Communicate with assigned suppliers regarding missing information, data discrepancies.
• Research missing product information in supplier catalogs, websites, and spec sheets.
• Proactively maintain and improve supplier data quality standards.
• Format and upload product data per marketplace templates (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and others).
• Fill in product attributes: dimensions, weights, materials, colors, and categories.
• Investigate and resolve deactivated listings within your portfolio.
• Map supplier attributes to internal taxonomy (Connect Attributes).
• Review and correct AI-generated product descriptions, bullet points, and keywords.
• Check AI-generated image quality: marketplace compliance, resolution, and absence of artefacts.
• Work cross-departmentally with the Marketplaces, Supplier Engagement, and Engineering teams.

Essential requirements:

• Good English language skills (B2+) — independent communication with suppliers and marketplace support teams.
• Strong Excel / spreadsheet skills, with a willingness to adopt new systems.
• Accuracy and attention to detail when working with large volumes of product data.
• Collaborative mindset.

Would be an advantage:

• 1+ years of experience with e-commerce product data or marketplace platforms. 
• Practical experience using AI tools for content generation and result review.
• Ability to independently manage a large supplier portfolio and prioritize tasks without close supervision.
